Canada’s involvement in the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus is one of Canada’s longest-running missions, beginning in 1964 and continuing today.

Veterans Affairs Canada and the Canadian War Museum are pleased to invite you to a learning day on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at the Canadian War Museum, followed by the opening of a special display focused on Canada’s involvement in the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus.

Students will be in attendance, along with Veterans and Veterans organization representatives.

The day will be split into two parts:

Part 1 – Learning session – 10:00 – 12:00 in the Barney Danson Theatre.

This part will consist of presentations by four Cyprus Veterans and Dr. Andrew Burtch of the Canadian War Museum followed by a Q&A session.

Part 2 – 12:00 – 13:30 – Reception and exhibit viewing.

A light reception will take place in the Barney Danson Theatre following the learning session. Guests will have an opportunity to view the newly unveiled Cyprus display and other exhibits in the museum.

We hope you will be able to join us for this educational and meaningful event.

Please RSVP at [email protected].
