Members of the C&E Branch currently stationed outside of Canada have teamed up to compete in the Canada Army Run, which will take place virtually from September 10 to 19, 2021.
In 2020, the Canada Army Run launched a virtual event. In virtual races, you can run or walk anywhere, at your own pace, outdoors or on a treadmill, alone or in a group. The distances to be covered are 5 km, 10 km, 5 km + 10 km, 21.1 km or 21.1 km + 5km. The races can be completed on any day between the period of September 10 to 19, 2021.
The Signalers community is present and very active outside of Canada and we take this opportunity to demonstrate our determination and our support for this cause which is close to our heart. Several members will take on the challenge and all will come together in a spirit of solidarity and camaraderie to participate to the event. Our intention is to rally as many members as possible to proudly represent the Branch outside of Canada. The challenge is also open to family members, friends, colleagues, and anyone who would like to participate. This is a great opportunity for C&E Branch members outside of Canada to take on a challenge, strengthen their military esprit de corps, pay tribute to Canadians and thank them for their support.
Our team’s primary goal is to raise $ 1000 in donations for Support Our Troops and Soldier On programs, which reach injured and ill military personnel and their families. The other goals are to promote physical fitness, strengthen cohesion and further demonstrate that Branch members and their families posted outside Canada are united and know how to meet challenges.
The invitation to join the team is extended to Officers, Non-Commissioned Members, civilians and ex-C&E Branch personnel posted outside of Canada and to our NATO partners from other Nations. If you are posted outside of Canada this season and have not received the invitation by email, you can join the team by following the link below.
