The  C&E  Branch and colleagues are saddened to learn  of the passing of Colonel Larry Saunders and express  their sincere condolences to his wife, Sandra, and family.

Colonel Larry Saunders passed away suddenly from heart failure on Sunday, 17 January 2016. Larry served 35 years in the air force as a Tech Tel/CELE officer.

His last assignments in NDHQ include Director Computer Systems Engineering and Maintenance and Project Manager North Warning System. On retirement from the military in 1994, Larry spent nine years in Brunssum, The Netherlands on the NATO AWACS Programme. Larry was an outstanding individual who made a significant contribution to the success of Communications & Electronics Branch and the Canadian Forces.

Larry is survived by his wife Sandra, daughter Susan and son Stephen. The family will hold a private celebration of Larry’s life. Larry will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
