On 28 Jan 2022 Major Fred Stanley was promoted to his current rank at 14 Wing Greenwood by the Wing Command, Col Brendan Cook and Wing Chief Warrant Officer, CWO Jonathan Proulx.

This marks Maj Stanley’s eighth promotion in his career. Major Stanley joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1984 as a Private and worked his way to the rank of Chief Warrant Officer before his promotion to Captain under the Special Requirements Commissioning Plan (SRCP).

Major Stanley is employed as the Readiness and Evaluation Officer and Force Protection Officer at 14 Wing Greenwood.
