1. ON 07 FEBRUARY 2021, CAPTAIN CATHERINE MCCULLOCH (NÉE KEYSER) WILL RETIRE FROM THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES (CAF) AFTER 14 PLUS YEARS OF DEDICATED AND LOYAL SERVICE.

2. CATIE JOINED IN 2006, FOUR YEARS LATER GRADUATING WITH A CIVIL ENGINEERING DEGREE FROM RMC WHERE SHE MET HER HUSBAND BRYAN, A FORMER EME OFFICER. SHE ENJOYED SAILING FOR RMC WITH HER BROTHER GORDON, A FELLOW CELE (AIR) OFFICER, AGAINST THE IVEY LEAGUE AND AMERICAN MILITARY SCHOOLS. SHE WAS A PROUD FRIGATEER WHO PLAYED JAZZ TROMBONE, WATER POLO AND RUGBY. SHE EXUDED RMC SPIRIT AT MANY EVENTS WITH HER CLASSMATES, INCLUDING THE FAMED ADVERTISING OF RMC AT QUEEN’S UNIVERSITY. FOND MEMORIES WILL ALWAYS BE HELD FOR CAMEROON, AFRICA AND THE CAMARADERIE FOUND WITH HER PEERS THAT MADE RMC. IN 2010 CATIE JOINED 408 TAC HEL SQN IN EDMONTON. ADVENTURES THERE INCLUDED A WINTER CAMPING IN THE CANADIAN NORTH, DEALING WITH A SIGNIFICANT AIRCRAFT INCIDENT AND RADIOING IN THE HELICOPTER FOR THE CALGARY STAMPEDE. THERE SHE GREW HER RCAF APPRECIATION AND DESIRE FOR LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES WHICH RESULTED IN A VOLUNTARY SWITCH FROM THE PILOT TO CELE (AIR) TRADE IN LATE 2013. THE TRANSITION PERIOD WAS
ENJOYABLY SPENT WORKING IN THE HCA AND RCAF PAO WORLDS. ONE TO LAUGH AT THE UNEXPECTED, CATIE THEN THREW HERSELF AT THE COMMON ARMY PHASE COURSE IN 2014. IN 2015 SHE WAS TRADE QUALIFIED AND ENROUTE TO COLD LAKE, AB WITH A GOAL TO EMBARK AS A SOCIABLE AND DEDICATED FLIGHT
COMMANDER AT 4 WING TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND INFORMATION SERVICES WTIS SQN, LATER BECOMING THE DEPUTY WTIS OFFICER. THE LAST YEAR IN COLD LAKE WAS SPENT IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT AT THE AEROSPACE ENGINEERING TEST ESTABLISHMENT. CATIE ENDS HER CAREER BEING THE ADMIN O/ADJT AND
MCC AT CFRC CALGARY. HERE SHE FURTHER ADDED TO HER QUOTE JANE OF ALL TRADES QUOTE REPERTOIRE NOW WORKING IN HR AND FINANCE. HER COMMUNICATIONS AND ELECTRONICS, HR AND FINANCE STAFF BROADENED HER KNOWLEDGE AND FURTHERED HER APPRECIATION FOR THE NCM CADRE THROUGH THEIR EFFORTS TO COMPLETE TASKS IN CHALLENGING ENVIRONMENTS WITH LIMITED RESOURCES.

3. CATIE AND BRYAN ARE EXPECTING THEIR FIRST CHILD AND WILL BE TAKING ON THE JOB OF PARENTS IN THE SPRING, CATIE ALSO HOPES IN THE FUTURE TO CONTINUE AIDING OTHERS THROUGH A NEW CAREER, WHETHER THAT BE IN THE PUBLIC SERVICE, A NON-PROFIT OR ANOTHER COMPANY OF MUTUAL BENEFIT.
