1. CWO DUPUIS WILL RETIRE FROM THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES ON 1 MARCH 2018 AFTER 31 PLUS YEARS OF DEDICATED AND LOYAL SERVICE TO THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES AND THE COMMUNICATIONS AND ELECTRONICS BRANCH.

2. CWO DUPUIS IS ORIGINALLY FROM SAINT-JEAN-SUR-RICHELIEU. HE ENROLLED IN THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES (CAF) IN 1986 AS A RADIO TECHNICIAN. UPON COMPLETION OF RECRUIT SCHOOL, PERFORMANCE ORIENTED ELECTRONICS TRAINING (POET) AND HIS RADIO TECHNICIAN QL3, HE WAS POSTED TO 2ND BATTALION, THE ROYAL CANADIAN REGIMENT (2RCR), GAGETOWN. WHILE POSTED TO 2 RCR, CPL DUPUIS DEPLOYED TO BOSNIA HERZEGOVINA. IN 1993, CPL DUPUIS WAS POSTED TO 3E BATAILLION DU ROYAL 22E RÉGIMENT (3E R22ER); WHILE POSTED TO 3E R22ER, HE DEPLOYED A SECOND TIME TO BOSNIA HERZEGOVINA. IN 1996, CPL DUPUIS WAS POSTED TO 5E RÉGIMENT D’ARTILLERIE DU CANADA (5E RALC); DURING HIS TOUR WITH 5E RALC, CPL DUPUIS DEPLOYED TO SYRIA. IN 1997, HE GRADUATED FROM LE COLLÈGE AHUNTSIC WITH A COLLEGE DEGREE IN ELECTRONICS. IN 1999, MCPL DUPUIS WAS POSTED TO 711 COMM SQUADRON, VALCARTIER WHERE HE WAS EMPLOYED AS A PROJECT MANAGER. IN 2001, SGT DUPUIS WAS POSTED TO CANADIAN FORCES COLLEGE (CFC) TORONTO WHERE HE MANAGED THE HELP DESK. UPON PROMOTION TO THE RANK OF WO, WO DUPUIS WAS POSTED TO THE CANADIAN FORCES LEADERSHIP AND RECRUIT SCHOOL (CFLRS), SAINT-JEAN-SUR-RICHELIEU AS A PLATOON COMMANDER. FROM 2006 UNTIL 2008, MWO DUPUIS WAS EMPLOYED AS AN ELECTRONIC WARFARE (EW) INTEGRATOR AT ASSISTANT DEPUTY MINISTER (MATERIAL) (ADM(MAT)) IN GATINEAU. IN 2008 HE WAS SELECTED TO BECOME THE SERGEANT-MAJOR OF 764 COMMUNICATION SQUADRON, OTTAWA, WHERE HE STAYED UNTIL HIS DEPLOYMENT WITH THE CANADIAN CONTINGENCY TRAINING MISSION AFGHANISTAN (CCTM-A) AS THE AFGHAN ARMY SIGNALS SCHOOL SERGEANT-MAJOR MENTOR. UPON HIS RETURN FROM AFGHANISTAN, CWO DUPUIS WAS POSTED TO DIRECTOR LAND COMMAND AND INFORMATION (DLCI) AS THE MILITARY EMPLOYMENT STRUCTURE (MES) STRATEGIC ADVISOR. IN JULY 2014, CWO DUPUIS BECAME THE CANADIAN FORCES NETWORK OPERATIONS CENTRE (CFNOC) SERGEANT-MAJOR, WHERE HE STAYED UNTIL HIS CURRENT APPOINTMENT AS COMMUNICATIONS AND ELECTRONICS BRANCH CWO. IN 2017 HE RECEIVED HIS BACHELOR OF ARTS DEGREE FROM L’UNIVERSITÉ DU QUÉBEC. CWO DUPUIS IS MARRIED TO IRURA AND THEY HAVE A DAUGHTER, ANNE.

3. PASCAL, IRURA AND ANNE WILL STAY IN THE GATINEAU REGION WHERE PASCAL HAS ACCEPTED A POSITION WITH SHARED SERVICES CANADA AS A PROJECT MANAGER.

4. TO COMMEMORATE HIS DEDICATION TO THE CANADIAN FORCES AND TO MAKE SURE HE IS ACTUALLY GONE, A FAREWELL LUNCHEON FOR ALL RANKS WILL TAKE PLACE ON FEBRUARY 27TH, 1130HRS FOR 1200HRS AT THE LEITRIM MESS, CFS LEITRIM. A BUFFET LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED AT A COST OF $20, A PORTION OF WHICH WILL GO TOWARDS A DEPARTING GIFT, AND WILL BE COLLECTED AT THE DOOR.
