Well here you are, you have finally come to it, the doorway to a new adventure, a new start, a turning. You are no longer speeding down the straight away, seeing as far as the eye can see. Your coasting through a few turns, rising into the mountains, but don’t worry once you reach the top the view will be amazingly spectacular, unless of course your fogged in. But you know what we say when the fog rolls in, it’s time to tuck back your away gear off shore and run out your shallow gear in shore. Well, my friend, that’s where you are, on the high country in back of sea cove watching the fog roll in and out, the sun sparkling off the water, the wind dogs running across the wave tops. You have applied the Signals (VVV) Moto throughout your career Velox Versutus Vigilans (Swift, Skilled, Alert), now it’s time to apply it to the hunt. Though you might be retired you are never truly out of uniform, so as General Crerar was quoted as saying ” Lead always, drive rarely, but when you must, drive hard”. So save a spot for me amid ship and we will make the feathers fly, the fins flash and the fur run this fall.
