1. CHIEF WARRANT OFFICER TONY DEGRUCHY WILL RETIRE FROM THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES (CAF)
ON 4 JUNE 2021 AFTER 32+ YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE TO CANADA, THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES, THE ROYAL CANADIAN CORPS OF SIGNALS AND MOST RECENTLY THE ROYAL CANADIAN ARTILLERY AS REGIMENTAL SERGEANT MAJOR OF 1 FD REGIMENT.

2. CWO DEGRUCHY ENROLLED AS A RADIO TECHNICIAN ON 21 OCTOBER 1988, AT CFS ST JOHN’S, NL. HIS CAREER PATH TOOK HIM THROUGH THE FOLLOWING BASES: CFB CORNWALLIS, CFB KINGSTON, CFB GAGETOWN, CFB UPLANDS, CFB HALIFAX, CFSU(O), CFB HALIFAX AND CFSU(O) DURING HIS REGULAR FORCE CAREER AND BACK TO 36 CANADIAN BRIGADE GROUP/1 FD REGIMENT FOR THE FINAL 3 YEARS.

3. CWO DEGRUCHY WILL REMAIN IN THE HALIFAX AREA AND PLANS TO ENJOY TIME FISHING AND ATV’ING, WHILE SPENDING MORE QUALITY TIME WITH FAMILY.

4. CWO DEGRUCHY HAS ALREADY COMPLETED A DEPART WITH DIGNITY UPON RELEASE FROM THE REGULAR FORCE IN 2018.

5. MR DEGRUCHY WILL REMAIN AS A PUBLIC SERVANT FILLING THE ROLE OF TECHNICAL ADVISOR FOR THE 5 CANADIAN DIVISION G6 CELL.
