1. MAJOR JEAN-MICHEL TETREAULT WILL RETIRE FROM THE CANADIAN AMRMED FORCES, AS COMMUNICATION AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEER (AIR), ON THE 4 SEPTEMBER 2018 AFTER 12 YEARS OF SERVICE TO CANADA.

2. MAJ TÉTREAULT CAME FROM PRIVATE INDUSTRY, AS AN ENGINEER, PROJECT MANAGER AND DIRECTOR. IN 2006, HE JOINED THE CAF LOOKING FOR NEW CHALLENGES. HE STARTED AT THE CANADIAN MISSION CONTROL CENTRE (CMCC-TRENTON) AND THE CANADIAN SPACE AGENCY (ST-HUBERT).

3. AFTER, HE WAS POSTED TO 17 WING TELECOMMUNICATION & INFORMATION SYSTEM SQUADRON IN WINNIPEG, AS A CLIENT SERVICE OFFICE AND PARTICIPATED IN THE REORGANIZATION TOWARD AN OPERATION CENTRIC SQUADRON. WINNIPEG HAS BEEN A MEMORABLE AND GREAT EXPERIENCE FOR ALL HIS FAMILY.

IN 2011, HE WAS DEPLOYED, AS THE CIS OFFICER AND A6, MAINTAINING MISSION CRITICAL CIS INFRASTRUCTURES FOR THE DEPLOYMENT OF AIR ASSETS TO OP MOBILE IN SICILY.

4. HE COMPLETED THE 1 YEAR LONG AEROSPACE SYSTEM COURSE IN WINNIPEG. THEREAFTER IN 2013, HE WAS POSTED TO OTTAWA. HE WORKED AT DGIMPD IN POLAR EPSILON 2 PROJECT AS A SOFTWARE LEAD FOR 2 YEARS AND THEN HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE THE EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO DGIMPD, TONY HOE. AT THE SAME, HE COMPLETED HIS MBA TO FINISH JUST BEFORE LEAVING DGIMPD DIVISION.

5. AS A LAST POSTING, HE WAS POSTED TO 7 COMMUNICATION GROUP IN NDHQ, J5 PLANS. HE HAD GREAT CHALLENGES OF DOING PLANS OF THE SERVICE SUPPORT FOR THE NEXT YEARS OF THE INFORMATION SYSTEMS AND HAD A FANTASTIC TEAM TO SUPPORT THE CHALLENGE.

6. MAJ TETREAULT HAS GREAT MEMORIES OF ALL THE SOULS HE WORKED WITH DURING THESE YEARS. HE LEARNED AND GREW MASSIVELY FROM MEETING ALL THESE PEOPLE AND CHALLENGES.

7. NOW, HE WILL ENJOY HIS NEW LIFE AS ENTREPRENEUR WITH HIS WIFE VALERIE HUARD. JUST AFTER HIS RETIREMENT MAJ TETREAULT AND HIS WIFE ARE LAUNCHING A BOOK TO HELP PEOPLE WITH PTSD.

THEY WILL ENJOY THEIR FAMILY TIME WITH THEIR TWO SONS WONDERFUL, MAXIME-ÉDOUARD AND JEAN-FRÉDÉRICK.
