1. AFTER 13+ YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE TO CANADA AND THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES, MASTER CORPORAL CORY JAMES WILSON RETIRED ON 3 SEPTEMBER 2024.
2. MASTER CORPORAL WILSON ENROLLED IN THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES IN 2010. AFTER COMPLETING BASIC RECRUIT TRAINING AT CFB BORDEN, HE WAS POSTED TO CFSCE WHERE HE COMPLETED HIS DP1 ACISS CORE AND INFORMATION SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS. IN 2012, HE WAS POSTED TO THE CANADIAN FORCES JOINT SIGNALS REGIMENT (CFJSR) AT CFB KINGSTON, WHERE HE WOULD WORK FOR THE NEXT EIGHT YEARS. DURING HIS TIME AT CFJSR, MASTER CORPORAL WILSON WAS HONOURED TO SERVE ON TWO OVERSEAS DEPLOYMENTS, TO KUWAIT FOR OP IMPACT IN 2015 AND TO BAHRAIN FOR OP ARTEMIS IN 2018. IN 2020, MASTER CORPORAL WILSON WAS POSTED TO THE CANADIAN ARMY COMMAND AND STAFF COLLEGE IN THE INFORMATION SYSTEMS SUPPORT SECTION.
3. UPON RETIREMENT, MASTER CORPORAL WILSON WILL REMAIN IN THE KINGSTON AREA AND COMPLETE A TRANSITION TO A PUBLIC SERVICE POSITION AT THE CANADIAN ARMY COMMAND AND STAFF COLLEGE.
4. PER MASTER CORPORAL WILSON’S WISHES, THERE WILL BE A DEPARTURE CEREMONY TO BE HELD AT A LATER DATE, WITH INVITATIONS TO BE EXTENDED TO CLOSE FRIENDS, COLLEAGUES AND FAMILY MEMBERS. WELL WISHES CAN BE SENT TO CAPTAIN AL A GENDRON [email protected].
