RETIREMENT – MCPL ADRIAN ARCHER – 00383 SIG OP

1. Master Corporal Adrian Archer will retire from the Canadian Armed Forces and the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals on 1 May 2022 after over 12 years of loyal and dedicated service to Canada.

2. Adrian enrolled in the CAF on 16 December 2009 at CFRC Calgary and went on to complete Signal Operator training at CFSCE Kingston in May 2011. After a short stint at 4 ESR Gagetown, Adrian applied for a position within CANSOFCOM and was selected. Later in his career he would go on to serve with 2 CMBG HQ & Sig Sqn and lastly the Royal Canadian Dragoons.

3. Adrian deployed twice on overseas operations including once while at CSOR and then to Latvia on Op REASSURANCE with the RCD. On 8 March 2022 Adrian received a CJOC Commander’s Commendation for his dedication in advancing CIS capabilities in Latvia as part of the RCD Battle Group. With his departure from Petawawa, Adrian leaves behind a lasting mark on 2 CMBG through his commitment to training junior signallers across the brigade in a variety of communications systems including LTAC.

4. Upon his retirement, Adrian will be pursuing barbering school and hopes to one day open his own shop in Calgary, AB.

5. Adrian has requested an informal DWD / pool night that will be held at The BLVD Pub-Bar & Grill in Petawawa on Friday 29 April 2022 starting at 1630. Everyone who has served alongside Adrian is invited to attend.
