1. MASTER CORPORAL DANIEL BOLDUC WILL BE RETIRING ON 08 DECEMBER 2021, AFTER NEARLY 17 YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE IN THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES AND THE ROYAL CANADIAN CORPS OF SIGNALS

2. DANIEL ENROLLED IN THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES ON 21 DEC 2004 AND RECEIVED HIS BASIC TRAINING IN SAINT-JEAN-SUR-RICHELIEU, QC. UPON COMPLETION, HE WAS POSTED TO 731 COMM SQN IN SHILO WHERE HE GOT PROMOTED TO CPL IN 2005. IN FEB 2009, HE WAS PART OF HIS FIRST MISSION TO JOINT TASK FORCE AFGHANISTAN, NATIONAL COMMAND ELEMENT WITH THE 1 CANADIAN MECHANIZED BRIGADE GROUP HEADQUARTERS AND SIGNAL SQUADRON. UPON HIS RETURN, HE WAS POSTED BACK TO 731 COMM SQN. IN JULY 2010, HE GOT POSTED TO THE CANADIAN FORCES JOINT SIGNAL REGIMENT. A YEAR LATE, HE GOT PROMOTED TO THE RANK OF MCPL. IN OCTOBER 2012, HE WAS DEPLOYED AS PART OF THE THIRD LOCATION DECOMPRESSION IN CYPRUS. FROM THE INTENSE HEAT OF THE MEDITERRANEAN SEA, HE PARTICIPATED IN OP NANOOK IN JULY 2013. EXHAUSTED FROM THE COLD, HE DECIDED TO GO BACK TO CYPRUS FOR A SECOND TIME IN NOV 2013. IN NOVEMBER 2014, HE DEPLOYED TO OP IMPACT. IN JULY 2018, HE GOT POSTED TO DIMEUS WHERE HE BECAME AN OUTSTANDING DET COMMANDER.

3. HE IS THANKFUL FOR THE GREAT PEOPLE THAT HE HAS WORKED WITH OVER THE YEARS AND TREASURES THE FRIENDSHIPS THAT DEVELOPED ALONG THE WAY.

4. DANIEL WILL TRANSITION TO A CAREER WITH SHARED SERVICE CANADA IN THE NCR. HE IS EXCITED TO CONTINUE SUPPORTING DND AS A TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEM SPECIALIST FOR THE DEFENCE NETWORK SERVICES ORGANIZATION.

5. MCPL BOLDUC WILL BE CELEBRATING HIS DWD FROM THE CAF ON DECEMBER 6TH, 2021 AT 1130HRS AT CHEZ LUCIEN IN THE BYWARD MARKET, 137 MURRAY ST. THIS WILL BE AN INFORMAL EVENT FOR EVERYONE TO REMINISCE AND PARTAKE IN “A FEW” BEVERAGES.
