1. MASTER CORPORAL SIDNEY (TROY) BATTISTE WILL RETIRE FROM THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES (CAF) ON 20 SEPT 2021 AFTER 19 YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE TO CANADA, THE CAF, THE ROYAL CANADIAN CORP OF SIGNALS AND MOST IMPORTANTLY THE LINE TRADE.

2. MCPL BATTISTE ENROLLED AS A LINEMAN ON 18 SEP 2002 IN TORONTO ONTARIO. THROUGHOUT HIS CAREER HE HAS SPENT TIME AT CFJSR 1 LINE SQN, CFB GREENWOOD BASE LINE CREW, HALIFAX BASE LINE CREW, 2 CMBG HQ&SIGS SQN LINE SECTION AND MOST RECENTLY THE 77 LINE REGT 4 LINE SQN LLWC PETAWAWA AS THE LCF. HE EVEN SPENT A BRIEF STINT IN THE NAVY AS A BOATSWAIN IN ESQUIMALT AND HALIFAX. HE HAS DEPLOYED DOMESTICALLY ON 2ND AND 3RD LINE CABLE AND ANTENNA PROJECTS ALL ACROSS CANADA AND DEPLOYED TO AFGHANISTAN TWICE.

3. MCPL BATTISTE WILL REMAIN IN THE PETAWAWA AREA AND BE RETURNING TO A TRAINING ENVIRONMENT TO FURTHER HIS EDUCATION TO WORK IN THE FIELD OF CONSTRUCTION, HE IS ALSO LOOKING FORWARD TO SPENDING QUALITY TIME WITH HIS SPOUSE AND THREE CHILDREN.
