RETIREMENT – MCPL THOMAS HALL, CD, 00394 – IS TECH

  1. AFTER 16 YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES (CAF), MASTER CORPORAL THOMAS HALL WILL BE RETIRING ON 13 SEPTEMBER, 2022.

 

  1. TOM FIRST ENROLLED WITH THE CAF ON 10 JUNE 2003 AS INFANTRY. AFTER A BRIEF BREAK IN SERVICE, HE THEN RE-ENROLLED AS A SIGNAL OPERATOR IN MAR 2006. AFTER COMPLETING TRADE TRAINING IN KINGSTON, HE WAS  POSTED TO HQ AND SIGS SQN, 2 CANADIAN MECANISED BRIGADE GROUP PETAWAWA, HALIFAX WITH MARLANT N6 ,TTCC AND SERVICE TEAM 5 IN SHEARWATER, AND OF COURSE, OTTAWA, WHERE HE WAS POSTED TO 76 COMMUNICATIONS REGIMENT AND HIS FINAL POSTING WITH DIMEUS.  HE HAS ALSO COMPLETED VARIOUS TAVS AND A TOUR TO LATVIA. .

 

  1. HE AND HIS WIFE SHALYNN  ALONG WITH THEIR FIVE CHILDREN WILL REMAIN IN THE NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION. HE WOULD LIKE TO ESPECIALLY RECOGNIZE HIS FAMILY FOR THEIR SUPPORT DURING HIS CAREER. TOM IS LOOKING FORWARD TO HIS NEW PATH AND WORK AS A PUBLIC SERVANT AT 7 COMM GROUP, WHERE HE WILL BE PART OF THE NATIONAL ISSO TEAM.

 

  1. A SMALL PRIVATE FUNCTION WILL BE HELD DOWNTOWN OTTAWA AT “MILL ST BREW PUB” ON THE 26 AUGUST 2022 TO CELEBRATE TOM’S RETIREMENT.  ANYONE WISHING TO ATTEND THE FUNCTION, CONVEY BEST WISHES OR MEMORABLE ANECDOTES ARE INVITED TO SEND THEM TO DAVID PEPIN ([email protected])
