1. FOLLOWING 12 YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE, MASTER CORPORAL TROY L. IRVINE WILL RETIRE FROM THE RCAF ON 14 JAN 2022.

2. MCPL TROY IRVINE ENROLLED IN THE CAF IN NOVEMBER OF 2009 AS A LAND COMMUNICATIONS AND INFORMATION SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN (LCIS TECH). FOLLOWING TRADES TRAINING WAS POSTED TO 2 CMBG PETAWAWA, MAINTAINING COMBAT-NET RADIO. IN 2014 WAS POSTED TO CFB HALIFAX N6 MARLANT WHERE HE WORKED AT NAVAL RADIO SITE SUPPORTING CRITICAL NAVY COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS INCLUDING WGS SATCOM. HE REMUSTERED TO AEROSPACE TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND INFORMATIONS SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN (ATIS TECH) IN 2014 AND WAS POSTED TO 8 COMMUNICATIONS AND INFORMATION SYSTEMS FLIGHT WHERE HE WAS EMPLOYED AS A NAVAIDS SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN. IN 2017 WAS POSTED TO 8 AIR COMMUNICATIONS AND CONTROL SQUADRONS (8 ACCS) EMPLOYED AS A NETWORKS TECHNICIAN, WHERE HE DEPLOYED TO OP REASSURANCE – ROMANIA (2018) AND OP PRESSENCE – MALI (2019). IN 2020 WAS THEN POSTED TO 4 WING COMMUNICATIONS AND INFORMATION SYSTEMS FLIGHT (CIS FLIGHT) EMPLOYED AS A C4 MISSIONS SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN.

3. TROY, HIS SPOUSE MELISSA AND THEIR CHILDREN CHARLOTTE AND NORAH WILL CONTINUE TO RESIDE IN THE COLD LAKE AREA WHERE TROY WILL CONTINUE TO SERVE THE CAF COMMUNITY WORKING FOR SHARED SERVICE CANADA (SSC).

4. TO COMMEMORATE HIS CAREER, A PRIVATE DWD WILL BE HELD WITH UNIT MEMBERS AND CLOSE FAMILY AND FRIENDS IN THE COLD LAKE AREA ON 16 DECEMBER 2021.
