1. MASTER WARRANT OFFICER KRZYSZTOF RYLSKI WILL BE RETIRING FROM THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES ON 30 SEPTEMBER 2021, AFTER COMPLETING OVER 38 YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE TO CANADA AND THE ROYAL CANADIAN AIR FORCE.

2. BORN IN CHECINY POLAND AND RAISED IN ORILLIA (ON), MWO RYLSKI GRADUATED FROM CONESTOGA COLLEGE IN 1982 AND PRIOR TO GETTING A CIVILIAN JOB, HE WANTED TO TRY OUT THE MILITARY FOR A WHILE, SO HE ENROLLED INTO THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES ON 7 JULY 1983 IN NORTH BAY ONTARIO ON A TRIAL BASIS.

3. AFTER HIS BASIC TRAINING AT CORNWALLIS (NS), MWO RYLSKI CONTINUED TO CFB KINGSTON WHERE HE COMPLETED POET AND HIS TRADES TRAINING (TQ3) AS A TEL TECH (223). IN 1985 HIS FIRST POSTING WAS TO THE SPECIAL SERVICE FORCE HEADQUARTERS AND SIGNALS SQUADRON, (SSF HQ & SIGS) AT CFB PETAWAWA (ON). IN 1988 HE MARRIED HIS LOVING BRIDE YVONNE.

4. IN 1988 HE WAS DEPLOYED TO BAGHDAD IRAQ FOR 4 MONTHS AS A MEMBER OF THE UNITED NATIONS IRAN IRAQ MILITARY OBSERVER GROUP (UNIIMOG). IN FEB 1989 PETAWAWA THEY WELCOMED THEIR FIRST CHILD, ANTHONY. IN 1989 HE WAS POSTED TO CANADIAN FORCES CRYPTO MAINTENANCE UNIT IN KINGSTON (ON) (CFCMU). IN SEP 1990, KINGSTON THEY WELCOMED THEIR SECOND CHILD, MONICA AND IN AUG 1993, THEIR THIRD CHILD KATIE WAS WELCOMED TO THEIR GROWING FAMILY. AFTER A PROMOTION IN 1995 TO MCPL, HE WAS POSTED 708 COMM SQN IN TRENTON. IN AUG 1996, TRENTON WELCOMED THEIR FOURTH CHILD, ELIZABETH TO THE FAMILY. ALSO IN 1996, UPON TRADE RESTRUCTURING, HE BECAME AN AEROSPACE TELECOMMUNICATIONS & INFORMATION SYSTEMS (ATIS) TECHNICIAN WITH A TRANSFER TO 8 WING TELECOMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION SERVICES (WTIS) AT CFB TRENTON AS A SYSTEM AND NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR.

5. RECEIVING HIS PROMOTION TO SGT IN APRIL OF 2001, HE WAS POSTED TO 8 AIRFIELD COMMUNICATIONS AND CONTROL SQUADRON AS THE SATELLITE COMMUNICATION SGT.

6. IN 2003 SGT RYLSKI TOOK ADVANTAGE OF AN OPPORTUNITY FOR A POSTING TO NORAD IN COLORADO SPRINGS USA, WHERE HE GOT TO TRAVEL ALL OVER THE USA INCLUDING ALASKA. PRIOR TO HIS RETURN TO CANADA, HE RECEIVED THE DEPUTY COMMANDER OF NORAD “AWARD OF EXCELLENCE” FOR HIS DEDICATION AND HIGH STANDARDS TO THE NORAD MISSION.

7. IN JUNE 2007 HE WAS POSTED TO NORAD NORTH BAY WITH AN IMMEDIATE PROMOTION TO WO HE BECAME THE AIR DEFENCE SYSTEM MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR. IN APRIL OF 2011 WAS DEPLOYED WITH CEFCOM FOR OP MOBILE IN POGGIO RENATICO ITALY AS THE A6 WO AND CAMP SWO. THIS BY FAR WAS HIS BEST AND MEMORABLE DEPLOYMENT AS HE GOT THE CHANCE TO WORK WITH HIS BROTHER THEN MCPL ART RYLSKI.

8. IN 2012 PROMOTED TO MASTER WARRANT OFFICER AND WAS APPOINTED WTISS SQUADRON WARRANT OFFICER. DURING HIS TENURE IN NORTH BAY, HE WAS AWARDED THE QUEEN’S DIAMOND JUBILEE MEDAL FOR LIVING THE ADAGE “MISSION FIRST, PEOPLE ALWAYS”.

9. IN AUGUST 2013 HE WAS POSTED TO 1 CANADIAN AIR DIVISION AIR FORCE EXPEDITIONARY READINESS STANDARDS AND EVALUATION TEAM AT 8 WING TRENTON.

10. IN JULY OF 2015, HE TOOK ADVANTAGE OF AN OPPORTUNITY TO RETURN TO 8 WTISS AND SERVE AS THE TECHNICAL MAINTENANCE FLIGHT MWO. AFTER A YEAR OF CHALLENGES AND REWARDS, MWO RYLSKI TRANSFERRED TO THE RESERVE FORCE AND ACCEPTED EMPLOYMENT AT RAWC IN TRENTON AS THE SENIOR INTELLIGENCE ANALYST. AFTER SPENDING 1.5 YEARS AT RAWC, MWO RYLSKI SOUGHT OTHER CHALLENGES AND ON 2 JAN 2018 ACCEPTED THE COURSE DIRECTOR POSITION AT AFERSET.

11. MWO RYLSKI AND HIS WIFE YVONNE, PLAN TO REMAIN IN TRENTON (ON) AREA. THEY HAVE EXTENSIVE PLANS TO TRAVEL THE WORLD WHILE BALANCING THEIR PASSION OF BEEKEEPING AND CANDLE MAKING.

12. RETIREMENT DWD WILL BE HELD IN HIS HONOUR ON 24 SEPTEMBER 2021 AT 8 WING TRENTON, SERGENTS AND WARRANT OFFICERS MESS ALBATROS LOUNGE 1130 – 1400, PIZZA WILL BE SERVED A $10 DONATION WILL BE REQUIRED TO COVER THE COST OF THE FOOD.
