RETIREMENT – MWO SYLVAIN THIBODEAU, CD – 00362-01 ACISS

1. AFTER MORE THAN 31 YEARS OF LOYAL AND GOOD SERVICES, MWO THIBODEAU WILL TAKE IS RETIREMENT FROM THE ROYAL CORP OF COMMUNIOCATION AND ELECTRONIC OF CANADA AND THE CANADIAN FORCES ON JUNE 27 2018.

2. MWO THIBODEAU ENROLED HIMSELF IN THE REGULAR FORCE AS RADIO OPERATOR ON FEBRUARY 4 1987.

3. AFTER HIS BASIC TRAINING IN ST-JEAN, HE WAS POSTED TO VALCARTIER HQ&SIGS, AFTER, HE WAS POSTED TO 5RALC FROM 1988 TO 1992. HE WAS THEN POSTED TO CFS DEBERT DET CHARLOTTETOWN FROM 1992 TO 1994. BACK TO VALCARTIER IN 1994, HE WILL GO TO DIFFERENT UNITS INCLUDING ALL OF THE BATAILLIONS OF THE ROYAL 22e REGIMENT AND ALSO BACK TO HQ & SIGS. MWO THIBODEAU DID A LOT OF MISSIONS OVERSEAS INCLUDING THE GOLAN HEIGHTS, 3 TIMES IN BOSNIA, IN AFRICA (RCA) AND EXERCISES IN MANY PLACES AROUND THE GLOBE INCLUDING EX COMBAT ENDEAVOR WITH NATO ALLIES.

4. SUMMER 2008, HE WAS POSTED AS WO TO CFSCE IN KINGSTON FOR A FEW YEARS UNTIL HE’S POSTED TO CTC HQ GAGETOWN NB. IN 2013, ANOTHER POSTING THIS TIME WITH NATO HQ IN EUROPE AT JFC BRUNSSUM NETHERLANDS WITH HIS SPOUSE FRANCINE.

5. UPON IS RETURN FROM EUROPE IN 2017, HE WAS POSTED BACK TO GAGETOWN WERE HE WILL TAKE HIS RETIREMENT AS MWO.

6. AFTER THE ARMY, SYLVAIN HAS ACCEPTED A JOB AS RADIO TECHNICIAN WITH THE GOVERNMENT OF NEW BRUNSWICK. HE WILL ALSO TAKE SOME TIME WITH HIS FAMILY AND HIS DAUGHTER WHO LIVE IN KINGSTON.
