1. AFTER NEARLY 14 YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE, SGT KEVIN FOUGERE WILL BE RELEASED ON 4 OCTOBER 2024. 

2. KEVIN ENROLLED IN THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES IN MONCTON, NB, AND COMPLETED HIS BASIC MILITARY TRAINING AT THE CANADIAN FORCES LEADERSHIP AND RECRUIT SCHOOL. FOLLOWING THIS, HE WAS ATTACHED TO THE LAND FORCE WESTERN AREA TRAINING CENTER (LFWA TC) FROM 4 MARCH 2011 TO 30 SEPTEMBER 2011 THEN UNDERWENT TRADES TRAINING AT THE CANADIAN FORCES SCHOOL OF COMMUNICATIONS AND ELECTRONICS UNTIL 3 OCTOBER 2011. HIS FIRST POSTING WAS TO 5 QGET, WHERE HE SERVED FROM 22 FEBRUARY 2012 TO 17 JULY 2017. HE WAS THEN POSTED TO 5 RGC FROM 17 JULY 2017 TO 26 JUNE 2018, FOLLOWED BY A POSTING TO THE CANADIAN FORCES JOINT SIGNAL REGIMENT FROM 16 JULY 2018 TO 1 MARCH 2022 IN KINGSTON, ONTARIO. HIS FINAL POSTING WAS WITH THE 1ST CANADIAN DIVISION HEADQUARTERS, WHERE HE HAS SERVED FROM 1 MARCH 2022 UNTIL HIS RELEASE DATE. 

3. THROUGHOUT HIS CAREER, KEVIN HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN SEVERAL NOTABLE DEPLOYMENTS AND EXERCISES, INCLUDING OP LENTUS IN 2017 TO ASSIST WITH FLOODING SUPPORT ALONG THE ST. LAWRENCE IN QUEBEC, OP PRESENCE FROM MAY TO SEPTEMBER 2019, AND HE HAS ALSO PARTICIPATED IN MULTIPLE INTERNATIONAL EXERCISES. AS A SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT IN HF COMMUNICATIONS, HE HAS WORKED EXTENSIVELY WITH VARIOUS COUNTRIES. IN 2018 HIS HF EXPERTISE BROUGHT DISTINCTION TO THE CAF SIGNALS COMMUNITY WHEN HE LED HIS CFJSR NOBLE SKYWAVE TEAM TO VICTORY AS THEIR TEAM CAPTAIN. HIS ROLE AS AN OPERATIONS NCO HAS BEEN INSTRUMENTAL THROUGHOUT HIS SERVICE. 

4. FOLLOWING HIS MILITARY CAREER, KEVIN WILL REMAIN IN KINGSTON AND BEGIN WORKING AS A FIELD SUPPORT REPRESENTATIVE AT CFB KINGSTON FOR PLATINUM TECHNOLOGIES INC. HE IS EXCITED ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY TO CONTINUE SERVING THE FORCES IN A CIVILIAN CAPACITY. KEVIN ALSO LOOKS FORWARD TO SPENDING MORE TIME WITH HIS FAMILY, INCLUDING HIS WIFE, TINA LAVOIE; HIS TWO STEPDAUGHTERS, JESSICA LAVOIE AND NOSSICA CORMIER; HIS SON, MAXIME FOUGERE; AND HIS GRANDCHILDREN, KWAYDEN AND MILA. HE PLANS TO BE MORE PRESENT BOTH PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY FOR THEM IN THE NEXT CHAPTER OF HIS LIFE. 

5. A DEPART WITH DIGNITY EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE AT RAXX BAR AND GRILL IN KINGSTON, ONTARIO, ON 4 OCTOBER 2024 BEGINNING AT 1300.
