1. SERGEANT JAMES MUNRO WILL RETIRE FROM THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES ON THE 25 OCT 2021 AFTER 24+ YEARS OF SERVICE TO QUEEN AND COUNTRY.

2. BORN IN CORWALL, ONTARIO, JAMES BEGAN HIS MILITARY CAREER BY ATTENDING BASIC TRAINING AT THE CANADIAN FORCES LEADERSHIP AND RECRUIT SCHOOL (CFLRS) ST. JEAN QUEBEC IN OCTOBER 1997. UPON GRADUATION, HE PROCEEDED TO THE 4TH CANADIAN DIVISION TRAINING CENTER IN MEAFORD TO COMPLETE HIS ARMOURED CREWMAN TRAINING. FROM THERE HE WAS POSTED TO THE ROYAL CANADIAN DRAGOONS IN PETAWAWA 1998-2002.WHILE WITH THE RCD, JAMES DEPLOYED TO KOSOVO IN MARCH 2000.

3. IN 2002 JAMES REMUSTERD TO LCIS TECHNICIAN WHERE HE ATTENDED PERFORMANCE ORIENTED ELECTRONIC TRAINING (POET) AND HIS LCIS QL3. UPON GRADUATION, HE WAS POSTED TO CFJSR IN MARCH 2005. JAMES SPENT 4 YEARS AT CJSR WHERE HE DEPLOYED TO AFGHANSITAN IN 2008. JAMES ALSO SPENT SOME TIME AS AN INSTRUCTOR WITH THE CANADIAN FORCES SCHOOL OF COMMUNICATIONS AND ELECTRONICS JULY 2010 TO MAY 2015.

4. IN JULY 2016 JAMES WAS POSTED TO GAGETOWN N.B. AT THE CANADIAN FORCES ARMY TRIALS AND EVALUATION UNIT (CATEU). IN JUNE OF 2019 HE WAS POSTED ONE LAST TIME TO THE 2ND BATTAILLON THE ROYAL CANADIAN REGIMENT (2 RCR) GAGETOWN.

5. TROUGHTOUT HIS 24+ YEARS OF SERVICE JAMES DISPLAYED OUTSTANDING SKILLS AS AN LCIS/SIG TECH. KNOWN FOR HIS ABILITY TO FIX ANYTHING FROM RADIOS, COMPUTER NETWORKS AND VINTAGE CARS JAMES IS LOOKING FORWARD TO NEW CHALLENGES THE CIVILIAN LIFE WILL BRING HIS WAY.
