1. WARRANT OFFICER ANDREW FORSHAW WILL RETIRE FROM THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES (CAF) ON THE 31ST OF JANUARY 2019 AFTER 32 YEARS OF LOYAL AND DISTINCT SERVICE TO CANADA, THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES AND THE ROYAL CANADIAN CORPS OF SIGNALS.

2. ANDREW JOINED THE MILITIA IN NOVA SCOTIA IN APRIL 1986, WITH A COMPONENT TRANSFER TO THE REGULAR FORCE IN OCTOBER 1991 AS A RADIO OPERATOR (RAD-OP). HE THEN RE-MUSTERRED TO LAND COMMUNICATION & INFORMATION SPECIALIST (LCIS) IN OCTOBER 2002 AND HE WILL RETIRE AS A COMMUNICATION INFORMATION SYSTEM TECHNICAL MANAGER (CISTM).

3. WO FORSHAW HAS COMPLETED OVERSEAS DEPLOYMENTS TO RWANDA; TWICE TO BOSNIA; ONCE TO KOSOVO AND TWICE TO AFGHANISTAN. HIS CAREER HIGHLIGHT WAS AS DETACHMENT COMMANDER OF LIGHT DET 3 ON THE 1ST DEPLOYMENT INTO AFGHANISTAN WITH 3 PPCLI.

4. ANDREW’S LAST DAY IN UNIFORM WILL BE THE 25TH OF JANUARY 2019. UPON RETIREMENT HE WILL BEGIN A NEW CHAPTER WITH THE PUBLIC SERVICE, AND REMAIN IN THE AREA WITH HIS SPOUSE AND TWO CHILDREN.

5. A DWD / RETIREMENT FUNCTION WILL BE HELD ON THE 19TH OF FEBRUARY 2019 at 1130HRS AT THE EDMONTON GARRISON MEMORIAL GOLF & CURLING CLUB.
