In the town of Maria, Qué on April 10, 2018, died at the age of 48, Louis Lavoie spouse of Hélène Guité. He lived in Maria and a native of Pohenegamook.

He was the son of Sir Xavier Lavoie and Dame Louise Rousseau.

Louis will be the thousand winds that blow, the glitter of snow crystals, the light that crosses the wheat fields, the soft autumn rain, the awakening of birds in the morning calm and the star shining in the night . (From an Amerindian prayer).

Louis is survived by his wife and parents, his daughters Isa-Emilia and Kayla-Jessie; his sisters Sophia (Daniel) and Rina (Robert); his brother Clarence (Line).

The members of the Guité family are his father-in-law Gustave Guité and his mother-in-law Liliane Poirier; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law are Claude (Suzanne), André (Chantal), the late Louise (alain), Charles (Lorie), Lise (Dave), Julie (Steeve), Edith (Steve) and Claudine.

He also leaves his uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, friends and his brothers and sisters in arms and many acquaintances.

The family will welcome you on Tuesday, April 17th at 12:30 pm, at the Santerre & Fils Funeral Home, located at 24, rue des Geais in Maria.

Visiting hours are from 12:30 to 13:45

Louis’ funeral will be celebrated in Maria’s church the same day at 2pm.

The funeral arrangement were entrusted to Santerre & Fils Funeral Home Inc., of Maria, a certified company and a member of the Corporation des Thanatologues du Québec.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Maison Funéraire Santerre & Fils on Tuesday, Apr 17, 2018, 1230hrs – 1345 hrs. Louis’ funeral will be celebrated in Maria’s church the same day at 1400hrs .
