1. AFTER 35 + YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE, CHIEF WARRANT OFFICER MICHELLE HERRINGTON WILL RETIRE FROM THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES ON 15 JANUARY 2021.

2. MICHELLE JOINED THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES IN ST. JOHNS, NL IN JULY OF 1985 AS A COMM RSCH OPERATOR. SHE COMPLETED BASIC TRAINING IN CFB CORNWALLIS, N.S. AND TRADE TRAINING AT THE CANADIAN FORCES SCHOOL OF COMMUNICATIONS AND ELECTRONICS (CFSCE) IN KINGSTON. DURING HER CAREER SHE WAS POSTED TO CFB GANDER, CFS LEITRIM (X3), CFS MASSET, CFSCE (X2), DGMC AS CAREER MANAGER, 2 EW SQN AND FINALLY 21 EW REGT. THESE POSTINGS WERE INTERSPERSED WITH DEPLOYMENTS TO CFS ALERT, BOSNIA AND AFGHANISTAN.

3. MICHELLE WOULD LIKE TO EXTEND HER GRATITUDE AND THANKS TO EVERYONE, PAST AND PRESENT, SHE HAS HAD THE PRIVILEGE AND HONOUR OF SERVING ALONGSIDE. SHE IS EXTREMELY GRATEFUL FOR THE MILITARY FRIENDSHIPS SHE HAS ACQUIRED THROUGHOUT HER CAREER.

4. MICHELLE WILL REMAIN IN THE KINGSTON AREA WITH HER HUSBAND GLENN AND CHILDREN TAYLER AND BRETT. DUE TO THE CURRENT PUBLIC HEALTH RESTRICTIONS, MICHELLE WILL FORGO A DWD BUT WILL RAISE A GLASS TO ALL OF YOU ON THE DAY.

Congratulations to you and yours Chief Herrington. It was a pleasure to work with and learn from you when you held the post as RSM 21 EW Regiment, and when you served as the senior-ranking CWO on the FSOC programme.
