CWO (ret) Robert Prospero joined the Reserve Force on 4 May 1988 in Red Deer Alberta with 749 Communication Squadron as a Material Management Technician. He has served with 749 Comm Sqn (1988-2006) 749 Comm Gp (2006-2008), 749 Comm Sqn (2008-2012), 35 Sigs Regt (2012), 41 Sig Regt (2012-2016), 3 Cdn Div (2016), 3 CDSB Edmonton (2016-2019) and retired as CWO on 15 May 2019 after serving just over 31 years.

On Friday, September 27, 2024, Mr. Robert “Bob” Prospero passed away at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 55 years.

Bob is survived by his loving family; his spouse, Diane; two children, Brittney (Anthony Kelly) Prospero of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Jessica (Ryan Margetts) Prospero of Red Deer, Alberta; grandchildren, Dottie & Joseph; sisters, Lisa (Doug) Spicer of Red Deer, Alberta, and their children, Stefanie & Lauren (Keith); Lana (Brendan) Neibrandt of Sylvan Lake, Alberta and their children, Paige & Dawson; sister in law, Donna Weatherly; brother in law, Warren (Heather) Weatherly and their children, Haylee & Jayna. He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Barb Prospero.

A Celebration of life for Bob will be held Friday, October 4, 2024 at the Wainwright Elk’s Hall, Wainwright, Alberta at 11:00 a.m.
