The Canadian Forces Network Operations Center (CFNOC) held their first ever adventure training this summer, proving to be an extremely strong mechanism in fostering teamwork and Esprit de corps. From 24 to 28 June 2024, thirteen members of CFNOC embarked on Exercise Stranded Unicorn, consisting of intense survival training activities designed to hone one’s bushcraft skills, as well as individual and team resilience. Feedback from all members has been overwhelmingly positive with new friends made, and new skills learned. A special thanks goes out to the CFNOC Stranded Unicorn leadership team who brought everyone home safe and to the staff at Great Ape Empire for doing such a fantastic job instructing, enabling, and contributing to their new and re-discovered connections to nature.
