Captain Ernest Anthony (Tony) Westall (Retired) , RCN (COMM TECH 224 / CELE 42B)

02 Aug 1938 – 02 Feb 2020

Passed away suddenly at the age of 81. He leaves behind his adoring children, Kimberly (Kevin), Rick and Lisa, as well as devoted grandson, Devon. He will be fondly remembered by his brother Adrian and sister-in-law Hazel Bennett. Tony was predeceased by his loving wife, Diane in June 2019 as well as by his parents, Ernest George and Eileen Ann (Crawford) and by sisters Agatha (George Mann), Gwendolyn Bouchard (Lake Charles), Joyce Walser (Len), Mary, Zueleka: brothers Noel St. Ledger (Ruth), Toby and Terry. Tony led a distinguished career, spending 39 years in the Canadian Armed Forces until his retirement as well as being a former member of the Knights of Columbus, he also worked for the Commissionaires. Special thanks to the Montfort hospital for their excellent care in Tony’s final days.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Monday, February 17th at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Ave) from 7-9pm. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, February 18th at 2pm. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.
