May 20, 1930 – October 22, 2023

Peacefully, Lorne left us on October 22, 2023, at the age of 93, with family by his side.

Lorne served in the Canadian Armed Forces (RCAF – telecommunications branch and later C&E Branch) initially as a Radar Technician. CFR’d, he served for many years at AIRCOM DCOS C&E in the 70s and 80s. Lorne was an active participant of the Col ‘O’ golf tournament practically on an annual basis plus attended many of the C&E Branch events held in Winnipeg. His military career was followed by 10 years at the Executive Manitoba Curling Association and five years with the Corp of Canadian Commissionaires.

Left to mourn is his wife of 69 years, Pearl, his children, Susan, Faye, and Stephen (Sandra),his grandchildren, Jessica (Troy Townsend) and Lucas, his great-grandchildren, Finn, Sully, Macie Pearl and Ava, his sisters, Doris and Elizabeth, along with many other family members and friends.
