CORPORAL JONATHAN L. DUNSTER

The death of Jonathan Dunster occurred December 20, 2023 in Augusta, Georgia. Jonathan was born December 30, 1978, and was the son of the late Linda Legacey Dunster and Barry Dunster. Jonathan was also predeceased by his grandparents, Albert Joseph Legacey and Joan Mary Shields Legacey of Plaster Rock, NB, and Lawrence and Beatrice Dunster of Lake Edward, NB, his brother Christopher Lee Dunster of Alberta.

Jonathan is survived by his father, Barry Dunster of Fredericton, NB; his stepfather, Edgar (Red) Giberson of Plaster Rock, NB; his brother Patrick Charles Dunster (Natalia) of Dubai, UAE; niece Samantha Dunster and nephew Bradley Dunster of Alberta; special aunts, Lisa Legacey (Robert) of Plaster Rock, NB, and Leah Legacey of St. Albert, Alberta; and his two furry feline kids William and Harry; along with several more aunts and uncles and cousins and extended family.

Jonathan was a Corporal in the Royal Canadian Air Forces as a Signals Intelligence Specialist and was posted to Canadian Forces Information Operations Group being employed in Fort Eisenhower, Georgia, USA. Jonathan was an avid athlete either playing hockey, baseball or golf in his younger years and loved to exercise especially jogging and always kept himself physically fit. Jonathan loved to laugh and joke around and had a very outgoing personality and always excelled in anything he pursued in his life.

A celebratory services of Jonathan’s life was held Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 7pm from the Tobique Chapel in Plaster Rock, NB. Mr. Michael Chase officiated. A Military interment will take place at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Details will be announced once they have been finalized.

Music for the service was by Michael and Tammy Chase. Remembrances were shared by Lisa Legacey and Capt. Chris Watson.

Pallbearers were members of the Canadian Armed Forces from Canadian Forces Information Operations Group.
