Donald passed peacefully at Kingston General Hospital on Wednesday 9 June 2021 in his 82nd year. Cherished husband of 56 years to Valerie (nee MacDonald). Loving father of Marla Knapik (David), Michael (Raylene), Katherine and Elizabeth. Proud Grandpa of Carmelina (Travis), Michael, Joseph, Christopher and Emma and great-grandson Sean.

Dear brother of the late Joanne Caldwell (Gary), Jim (Ginny) and Sheila Parker (Mike). He will be missed by his nieces, nephews and the MacDonald family.

The family received friends at the Township Chapel of the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes 435 Davis Drive (Centennial at Taylor-Kidd) on Sunday June 13. The family had a private gathering for a Liturgy of the Word Service to be held in our Chapel on Monday Morning with Fr. Leo Byrne officiating. Rite of Committal prayers were said at the family plot in the Holy Name of Mary cemetery in Marysville on Monday June 14 at 2 p.m.

The family wish to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses and PCAs at the KGH Emergency Department and Davies 4 ICU for their kind and compassionate care. The family also wishes to thank Saint Elizabeth Health Care and Repute Homecare for all their help and support.
