DILLMAN, Daniel Carson – It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Daniel Dillman on January 4, 2019 from Alzheimer’s surrounded by his family at Providence Care Hospital. Born December 16 in 1946 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, predeceased by his parents Shirley (Boutlier) and John Dillman and brother Joseph. Married in Lahr Germany, a loving husband of 43 years to Elisabeth (Weinacker), treasured by his children Katharina (Tom) and David (Steven). Proud uncle to Lisa Marie and Jason Alexander. Caring brother in law, cousin, godfather to his large extended family and friends in Canada and Germany. Danny will always be known for his contagious smile, whistle, sense of humour and giving nature. In 1963 he joined the military and served In the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals (RCCS) for 34 yrs. Dan loved the outdoors, his family and entertaining through jokes, funny antics, singing and his guitar and harmonica. Dan has been cremated and buried at the Cataraqui Cemetery in the military section under the shade of a beautiful tree. The family will greet friends from 2-4pm at A Celebration of Life for Dan on Saturday Jan. 19th at The Delta Hotel, 1 Johnson Street. A special thanks to the staff of Providence Care, we will always cherish your care for Dan in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kingston Alzheimer’s Society.
