Major Douglas Leonard Atkins, CD2 passed 17 November 2019 at age 79.

Douglas served Canada with honour for over 35 years with the Royal Canadian Air Force Communications and Electronics throughout Canada and Europe. He retired in July 1994. He served at CFB Greenwood, CFB Trenton, CFB Centrailia, Mt. Allison Univ., CFB Cold Lake, CFB North Bay, CFB Kamloops, CFB Halifax, NDHQ Ottawa, CFB Edmonton, CFB Winnipeg, CFB Lahr, and CFB North Bay. Passed away in Calgary, AB. Servived by his dear wife Peppy, daughter Coreen (Bernard Sheldrick) and son MCpl Steven (Elizabeth) Atkins, four grandchildren and three and a half great grandchildren. Ashes to be buried in summer 2020 with his parents in Shelburne, N.S.
