It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Kevin Lee Rowland on January 12, 2024 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Kevin was born April 19, 1962 in Ponoka Alberta. Kevin was a son of the late Leonard Rowland and Surviving Elizabeth Rowland. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and friend. Kevin is survived by his wife Billie-Jean Rowland(Goodbun). Son, Gen Rowland (Eva-Lee & Madison Jean). Daughter, Taran-Lee Holmes (Rowland) and William Holmes (Josephine-Rae, Owen and Emmett) Siblings Colleen Rowland (Phil Macintosh) and Darwyn Rowland. In-laws Bill and Marlene Goodbun, Reid and Bobbie-Jo Christensen. Nieces Jaylen-Rae Christensen and Ryan Rutherford (Emerson-Jo, Peyton-Ryan) and Mckenna-Macy Nelson (Christensen) and Cole Nelson. Kevin Leaves behind many friends and co-workers from all his adventures and travels. Kevin spent 43 of his years in Ponoka . Working at the Ponoka Aquaplex, Goodbuns Bakery, Centennial Center and many years running Bedrock Fitness with his wife Billie-Jean. He enjoyed many activities and sports with family and friends. Kevin embarked on a journey in electronics engineering which led to his service with the Canadian Armed Forces for 8 years. After retirement from the military, he took his adventures north by becoming a Maintenance Technician for the North Warning Systems. Kevin enjoyed his time with his grand-kids and mentoring them in all things Pink Floyd, Rush and Heavy Metal. Kevin never stopped learning and thoroughly enjoyed the ever-changing technology and computer side of life. Kevin (Papa) will be greatly Missed and never forgotten by all those who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held at Ponoka Royal Canadian Legion Branch 66 on Saturday Mar 2nd from 1-4 pm.
