MWO Paul (Eric) Warner served 33 years in the RCAF and CAF from 1956 to 1989 as a 212 TEL OP. After basic training at RCAF Station St. Jean, QC he was posted to RCAF Stations Lac St. Denis, QC; Gorsebrook and Barrington, NS; and Canadian Forces Stations Falconbridge, ON; Debert, NS and NDHQ, Ottawa where he worked at various Communication Centres and was particularly skilled in morse code. MWO Warner also had deployments in Germany (Baden) and the Golan Heights as part of UNDOF. Eric appreciated serving Canada, never shying away from an opportunity or challenge – all while possessing a remarkable positive attitude and great sense of humour that encouraged his resiliency even until his final days.
