James Henry (Ducky) Mallard 1943-2021

Jim was a proud member of the Canadian Armed Forces for 25 years. He passed away peacefully at his home in Angus ON on Saturday, January 2nd in his 78th year. He is survived by his bride Janette (of 56 years). The loving father of Susan (Bruce Fraser) and Karen (Sylvain “Sly” Martel).  Cherished grandfather (whom he loved with all of his heart) Alicia Koopmans (Duane Henry), Adam Koopmans (Jessica Beveridge) and Matt de Silguy (Riley MacDonald). He will be sadly missed by his sisters, Betty Day, Barbara Goertzen and their families.

Jim was a very talented golfer and woodcraftsman, always delighting in making furniture for his families. “Grandpa could fix anything”.  Jim will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his many relatives and friends.

At Jim’s and the family’s request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Jim’s life will be announced at a later date..
