Sgt Doug Carson, CD (Retired) (00120 – COMM RSCH)
It is with heavy hearts and immense sorrow that the family announce the sudden unexpected passing of Sergeant (Retired) Doug Carson at the age of 49.
Doug Carson (aka Dougie) was a well respected and very much loved retired veteran, who served our country as a 291er during 1992-2010. A highly decorated veteran, he leaves behind his beloved wife Janet, children: Marissa, Caleb, and Cody, brother Dennis (Lorie), sister Lolly, brother Ronnie, mother-in-law Ingrid, nieces: Brooklyn and Emma. He was loved and cherished by so many friends, companions, members of CAF, neighbours and new acquaintances.
We will all miss his witty humour, that so many were blessed to be a part of. He was a selfless, loving and a hard working man to his family and to all who knew him. He brought a smile and laughter to anything and everyone he met. He was always there to lend a helping hand, so courteous, kind, with a generous heart, always put others first before himself. An amazing dotting husband, dad, brother, uncle, and best friend.
He will never be forgotten and will always be remembered. He has left such a huge hole in our hearts and a pair of boots that will never be filled.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be appreciated.
