Sergeant (Ret’d) Stephen “Steve” Lawless, CD, RCAF
30 January 1958- 1 March 2021

We are saddened to announce that after 3 years of living with cancer, Steve succumbed to the disease on 1 March 2021, in Halifax, with family at his side.

Son of Georgina and the late Russell, Steve was born and raised in Kingston, Ontario.
Steve was a proud member of the Armed Forces for 42 years. His career took him around the world. He enjoyed camping, playing washer toss and playing cards with friends and family. He loved the adventures and misadventures of camping life with his wife Sheila.

Predeceased by his sister Carol and father Russell. Steve is survived by his wife Sheila; children, Ian (Gabby), Christie (Chris) Jennifer (Devin), Sara (Ian); stepson Liam (Caitlyn) and three beautiful grandchildren Roselyn, Arthur and Oliver.

He will also be missed by his mother, Georgina, stepfather Jim, and siblings Gaye, Dianne, John (Lori) and Robert (Holly).

We would like to thank family and friends for their support over the last 3 years.
The palliative care team at the VG has been a tremendous help, providing exceptional care during his illness.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street Dartmouth at a later date due to Covid-19.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Steve’s memory to the VG Palliative Care Unit c/o the QEII Foundation.
