At the recent Board of Directors meeting on 26 November, Geoff Priems was elected as President and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Foundation. Gary Wolfman was elected as Vice-Chair. Both appointments were announced at, and came into effect immediately after, the Annual General Meeting on 28 November.

Geoff has indicated that his priorities for his term are to: increase representation and participation as members and Directors; support fundraising efforts; and, demonstrate the value of supporting the Foundation’s work.

Gary will lead the effort to increase the representation of different voices and constituencies among the membership, and the Board in particular.

On behalf of the Board, we want to express our deep gratitude to the outgoing President and Chair of the Board Scott McLean for his leadership and energy, and to the outgoing Vice-Chair Mark Lilienthal for his leadership and advice. It’s due in large part to their dedication and work that the Foundation emerged from the pandemic in such great shape. We are delighted to have them continuing on as members of the Board where they will continue to support the Foundation’s work on behalf of the Museum.
