36 Sigs visits affiliated Cadet unit (2741 Army Cadet Corp)

On the 6th of Nov OC 1 Sqn and the RSM, 36 Sig Regt visited our affiliated Cadet unit (2741 Army Cadet Corp) in Porters Lake. The evening consisted of us visiting the cadets as they went about their evening training.

A parade at the end of the evening identified a number of well-deserved promotions as well as the 2nd year cadets receiving their Signals Hat badge.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of  the Major-General W. A. Howard Medal

This award is given out to deserving army cadets in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia this month. The medal recognizes a cadet in each province and territory who have achieved the highest results in the 4th year (Gold training level) annually as they prepare to enter into the Year 5 Master Cadet level.

The NS recipient was WO Nathan LaPierre from 2741 Eastern Shore Royal Canadian Army Cadets. Congratulation to WO LaPierre from all members of 36 Signal Regiment.
