An updated version of the Branch Standing Orders (BSO) is now available on CMCEN under the Standing Orders link. To ensure the utmost level of accuracy, the following changes were made …
- NCM ranks from the RCN now reflect Master Sailor and Sailor 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Class;
- Communicator Research Operator is now addressed as Signals Intelligence Specialist;
- Additional detail and clarity WRT to the SIGINT Specialist trade badge is now noted in Chapter 6 as it is different in design and adheres to different issuance standards;
- Authorization for NCMs to wear the C&E Branch Cap Badge now specifies Upon attainment of Occupational Functional Point (OFP);
- Refinements to spelling, grammar, and sentence structure was applied throughout; and
- Regimental / Squadron crests were updated for several units.
