The Communications and Electronic (C&E) Association will be having its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday 14 November 2018 starting at 18:30 PM in the 33 Signals Regiment Officers Mess, Maj E.J.G. Holland VC armoury, 2100 Walkley Road, Ottawa, ON K1G 3V3. As the C&E Association represents all serving, retired members and family members of the C&E Br, everyone is welcome to attend this meeting and find out what the Association is all about.
Good Day CELE Officers, I am pleased to announce that the BCOC Session 0005 candidates will be celebrating their course graduation with a formal Mess Dinner and Graduation Parade. The graduation parade will be held on the Morning of 06 December 2018, see schedule below for more details on timings, dress, and locations. The mess dinner will also be taking place on 06 December 2018, and by receiving this email you are being formally invited to attend both. As an attendee of the mess dinner you will be able to reconnect with old friends and get a first-hand look at the fresh batch of CELE officers that may be joining you shortly at your units. In addition to the mess dinner, you are also invited to the Shot Glass Ceremony, as well as a discussion panel preceding the dinner chaired by the BCOC 0005 top candidate. During this ceremony you will witness each candidate finding out, for the first time, what their official posting is one by one with the entire crowd watching. On 17 OCT 2018 during the CJOC Commander’s visit to CFJSR Kingston, MCpl N. Gregg was presented with a Command Commendation by LGen M.N. Rouleau, Commander CJOC. CANADIAN JOINT OPERATIONS COMMAND COMMANDER’S COMMENDATION: Master Corporal Gregg deployed to Iraq form July 2017 to February 2018 as part of Canada’s contribution to defeating Daesh and the capacity-building of Iraqi security forces. As the Signal Operator for the ministerial Liaison Team, she demonstrated outstanding technical skill with Canadian communications equipment and quickly mastered US protocols as well, maximizing communications support in a joint environment. Moreover, she planned the amalgamation of communications infrastructure into one building, which enabled the Ministerial Liaison Team to conduct more efficient force-protection and security, and she took on the additional role of managing administration and budgeting for the section. Master Corporal Gregg’s outstanding professionalism and tireless dedication reflected great credit upon her and the Canadian Joint Operations Command.
