Colonel David W. Brown will retire on 05 August 2024 after 29 years of service to the CAF, RCAF, and C&E Branch.

Col Brown joined the CF in 1995 as a CELE(Air) Officer. Since then, Dave has worked in a variety of domains: air defence, airfield systems, cyber operations, IT service delivery, network operations, signals intelligence, taskings, force development, CBRN defence, and youth development. Memorable tours include COMKAF HQ Kandahar, 19 WTIS Comox, and CFNOC Leitrim.

Dave extends gratitude to his many teammates, colleagues, and mentors over the years. Any of Dave’s successes were due to their hard work, support, and comradeship.

Dave and Lindsay are moving to the Rideau Lakes this summer. Dave will take some time-off before heading back into the workforce, albeit at something less demanding.

Col Brown’s Depart with Dignity event will be a simple mug-out held on 01 August 2024 at 1300hrs at Branch 638 Royal Canadian Legion, 70 Hines Road, Kanata. If you wish to attend, simply show up. Ancedotes and Well wishes may be sent to Capt Craig Jacob aT [email protected].
