Thank you to the Canadian Military Engineers Association(CMEA) for making us aware of this update.

The CMEA have been advised by the Korean Defence Attaché Office that the 2024 Revisit Korea Program is now open for Canadian applications for the following events:

  • April: 6 persons (3 families)
  • July: 4 persons (2 families)
  • November: 4 persons (2 families)

These dates are not yet confirmed. The number of participants is very limited. Korean War Veterans will be given priority for these visits, but relatives of deceased Korean War veterans may apply. Please complete the attached Application Form and send it to the Korean Embassy at [email protected] by Thursday, 22 February 2024.

In addition, the Republic of South Korea is holding the  2024 Youth Peace Camp for grandchildren and great grandchildren of Korean War Veterans. The Youth Peace Camp is intended to pass the bond forged during the Korean War between Korea and UN countries down to future generations, and to strengthen it further. Three vacancies will be allocated to Canada.

Applicants must be the grandchild or great grandchild of a Korean War veteran who is attending, or has been admitted to attend university or college. Must have good academic performance and be recommended by the university or college.

The deadline for applications is 1 March 2024. Information will be published shortly.

Application forms can be found on the CMEA website: https://cmea-agmc.ca/deadline-applications-2024-revisit-korea-program-approaching
