1. AFTER 17 YEARS OF SERVICE, CAPT WOZNIAK WILL RETIRE FROM THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES ON 30 AUGUST 2019.

2. BORN IN CHORZOW BATORY, POLAND, CAPT WOZNIAK IMMIGRATED TO CANADA IN 1982 AND SETTLED IN THE NIAGARA REGION. AFTER COMPLETING HIS ENGINEERING DEGREE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO IN 2001, CAPT WOZNIAK ENROLLED IN THE CAF UNDER DEO IN OCTOBER 2002 AS AN ARMY SIGNALS OFFICER.

3. DURING HIS CAREER, CAPT WOZNIAK HAS BEEN POSTED TO ST-JEAN, KINGSTON, GAGETOWN, BORDEN AND OTTAWA. AT DLCSPM ISTAR, CAPT WOZNIAK HAD THE PRIVILEDGE OF WORKING WITH C4ISR CAPABILITIES WHICH PROVIDED A BASIS FOR HIS WORK AT DIMEI DECISION SUPPORT ENGINEERING, WHERE HE DESIGNED SYSTEMS FOR OPERATION IMPACT AND REASSURANCE.

3. AS PART OF CONTINUED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, CAPT WOZNIAK OBTAINED A MASTERS IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION MAJORING IN FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT FROM CARLETON UNIVERSITY IN 2011, AND BECAME LICENSED AS A PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER IN ONTARIO IN 2012. CAPT WOZNIAK WAS AWARDED THE CANADIAN FORCES DECORATION IN 2014 AFTER 12 YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE.

4. AFTER HIS RETIREMENT FROM THE CAF, CAPT WOZNIAK PLANS TO STAY IN THE NCR AND CONTINUE WORK WITH THE FEDERAL PUBLIC SERVICE. HIS DEPART WITH DIGNITY CEREMONY WILL START AT 1500 HRS ON 22 AUGUST 2019 AT THE ARMY OFFICERS’ MESS, DETAILS AND COST TBD. 6. CAPT WOZNIAK HAS AN ENDLESS LIST OF PEOPLE TO THANK FOR SHAPING HIM INTO THE PERSON HE IS TODAY. HE WILL BE FOREVER GRATEFUL FOR HIS TIME IN THE FORCES AND DEPARTS WITH MEMORIES AND FRIENDSHIPS THAT WILL LAST A LIFETIME.
