1. CAPTAIN KRESHNIK MEQA WILL RETIRE FROM THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES ON 09 SEPTEMBER 2019 AFTER 10 YEARS OF DEDICATED AND LOYAL SERVICE TO THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES AND THE COMMUNICATIONS AND ELECTRONICS BRANCH.

2. CAPT MEQA ENROLLED IN THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES (CAF) IN 2009 AS A DIRECT ENTRY OFFICER IN THE EME TRADE. IN 2010 HE WENT THROUGH AN ELEMENT AND OCCUPATION TRANSFER TO THE RCAF/CELE TRADE. AFTER COMPLETION OF THE CELE TRADE QUALIFICATIONS, HE WAS POSTED TO DIRECTORATE PROJECT DELIVERY COMMUNICATION AND SENSE (DPDCS) IN OTTAWA AS A PROJECT JUNIOR OFFICER. HE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF THE TWO GROUND–BASED OPTICAL SYSTEM (GBOS) DESIGNED TO TAKE IMAGES OF THE SATELLITES IN THE GEOSTATIONARY BELT. GBOS WERE LOCATED AT CFB VALCARTIER AND CFB SUFFIELD. IN 2014, CAPT MEQA WAS POSTED TO DIRECTORATE INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SECURITY (DIM SECUR) OTTAWA WHERE HE WAS EMPLOYED AS AN SA&A ANALYST. DURING THIS TIME, HE PARTICIPATED IN SEVERAL TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE VISITS (TAVS) DOMESTICALLY (CFB MEAFORD, CFB PETAWAWA) AND ABROAD (ISRAEL, LITHUANIA) IN SUPPORT OF CAF OPERATIONS AND EXERCISES. IN 2018, CAPT MEQA WAS POSTED TO DIRECTORATE INFORMATION MANAGEMENT ENGINEERING AND INTEGRATION (DIMEI) AS AN IT SECURITY ENGINEER WHERE HE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SECURITY TECHNICAL IMPLEMENTATION GUIDES (STIGS) IN SUPPORT OF IM/IT SYSTEMS FOR OF IMPROVING THE SECURITY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF NATIONAL DEFENCE AND THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES (DND/CAF) INFORMATION SYSTEMS (IS).

3. CAPT MEQA IS MARRIED TO FITORE AND THEY HAVE TWO SONS, KRENAR AND LORIK.
KRESHNIK AND FITORE WILL STAY IN THE OTTAWA REGION WHERE HE HAS ACCEPTED A POSITION WITHIN THE PUBLIC SERVICE.

4. TO COMMEMORATE HIS DEDICATION TO THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES, AN INFORMAL LUNCHEON WITH HIS SECTION PEERS WILL TAKE PLACE ON 20 AUGUST, 2019 AT 1130HRS AT THE CALABOGIE BREWING (KANATA): 105 SCHNEIDER ROAD, KANATA.
