1. AFTER 36 PLUS YEARS, CAPTAIN WAYNE MACDONALD HAS DECIDED TO CALL IT A
CAREER. HE ENROLLED IN THE CAF IN MAY 1983 AND AFTER COMPLETING BASIC
TRAINING IN CORNWALLIS NS WAS OFF TO POET TRAINING AT CFSCE IN
KINGSTON. HE COMPLETED HEAVY RADAR TECH (231) TRAINING IN NOV 1984.
CAPT MACDONALD’S POSTING INCLUDED CFS DANA SASK, 42 RADAR SQN COLD
LAKE (TWICE), CFCSE (TWICE), ATESS, WTIS TRENTON, CFCMU AND HIS FINAL
POSTING IN ATIS TRADE WAS IN THE NCR, DGAPM R AND CS.

2.CAPT MACDONALD HAS HAD MANY REWARDING JOBS AND POSITIONS IN HIS
CAREER FROM RADAR TECH, INSTRUCTOR, CREW CHIEF AND INSTALLATION WO,
SWO, SSM, USM AND DIRECTORATE CWO.
IN 2018 HE TOOK A NEW PATH, SRCP AND TOOK OVER THE PL COMD AT THE IPSC
IN KINGSTON, NOW THE TRANSITION CENTRE.

3. CAPT MACDONALD WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL THE PEOPLE THAT HE HAS
WORKED WITH, WORKED FOR AND SUPPORTED HIM THROUGHOUT HIS CAREER.
HE WOULD ALSO LIKE TO THANK HIS WIFE GILLIAN AND HIS KIDS TYLER,
ZACHARY, KEAGAN AND CHELSEA FOR THE LOVE AND SUPPORT THEY SHOWED HIM
THROUGHOUT HIS TIME IN MILITARY.

4. CAPT MACDONALD’S LAST DAY IS 16TH OF JULY AND PLANS ON STAYING IN
KINGSTON AREA. FOR NOW HE PLANS ON TAKING SOME TIME OFF GETTING A FEW
PROJECTS DONE AROUND THE HOUSE AND DO SOME TRAVELLING BEFORE DECIDING
WHAT’S NEXT FOR HIM.
AN INFORMAL DWD WILL TAKE PLACE IN THE FUTURE.
