1. CHIEF WARRANT OFFICER S. LOYER WILL RETIRE FROM THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES ON 15 MAY 2023 AFTER 25 YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO CANADA.

2. S. LOYER ENROLLED WITH THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES IN JANUARY 1998 IN MONTREAL CITY AS A RADIO OPERATOR (211) AND LATER HE BECAME AN ACISS IST (362-04) AND IS-TECH (394-02), WHERE HE ENJOYED SERVING AT 5 CMBG HQ&SIGS, 2 R22ER, SVC TRANS VALCARTIER, CFJSR, CFSCE, DGMC AS CAREER MANAGER AND 1 HQ AND SIGS EDMONTON AS RSM. OVER HIS CAREER, HE COMPLETED TOURS IN BOSNIA, KABUL AND KANDAHAR IN AFGHANISTAN AND KUWAIT.

3. S. LOYER WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL THOSE WHOM HE SERVED WITH AND IS THANKFUL FOR THE LONG AND GREAT FRIENDSHIPS DEVELOPED OVER HIS 25 YEARS IN UNIFORM.

4. UPON RETIREMENT, S. LOYER WILL MOVE BACK IN ONTARIO, IN THE OTTAWA-GATINEAU REGION WITH HIS WIFE, AND THEIR DOG BENNY WITH A FINAL CROSS CANADA ADVENTURE. HE WILL BE LIVING CLOSE TO HIS KIDS WHO ARE NOW ESTABLISHED IN THIS AREA. HE WILL CONTINUE TO SERVE CANADA ON A PUBLIC SERVANT POSITION WITH SSC UNDER IT GROUPS.

HE HAS REQUESTED TO POSTPONE HIS DEPARTURE WITH DIGNITY WHEN HE WILL BE ABLE TO BE REUNITED WITH HIS KIDS AND FAMILY.
