1. LIEUTENANT COLONEL M. DUMAS WILL BE RELEASING FROM THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES ON 4 FEBRUARY 2019 AFTER MORE THAN 21 YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE TO CANADA.
2. FROM THETFORD MINES, QC, MARYLYN JOINED THE CAF IN JUNE 1997 AND GRADUATED FROM THE ROYAL MILITARY COLLEGE OF CANADA WITH A BACHELORS DEGREE IN PHYSICS. SHE HAD THE PRIVILEGE TO SERVE IN A WIDE RANGE OF POSITIONS AND LOCATION ACROSS CANADA AND THE UNITED STATES, INCLUDING COLD LAKE, CLEAR, COLORADO SPRINGS, SHEARWATER, HALIFAX AND OTTAWA. A FEW CAREER HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE BEING THE MAINTENANCE OFFICER IN 42 RADAR SQUADRON, PAVE PAWS CREW COMMANDER IN 13 SPACE SQUADRON AND WING TELECOMMUNICATION INFORMATION SYSTEMS OFFICER IN SHEARWATER THOUGH SHE WILL MISS THE COMRADERY AND THE CAF ETHOS THE MOST.
3. MARYLYN, BRENDAN, ALEXA, ZACHARY, MURPHY (THE DOG) AND GRISOUE (THE CAT) ARE PLANNING TO MOVE BACK TO HALIFAX IN THE SUMMER TO BE CLOSER TO THE OCEAN WHERE THEY PLAN TO FULLY ENJOY ALL THE EAST COAST HAS TO OFFER.
