1. LIEUTENANT-COLONEL RICHARD BOYLE WILL BE RETIRING FROM THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES ON 28 APRIL 2021 AFTER 22+ YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE.

2. LCOL BOYLE ENROLLED IN THE CAF IN JULY 1998 AS PART OF THE REGULAR OFFICER TRAINING PLAN AND GRADUATED FROM THE ROYAL MILITARY COLLEGE. UPON COMPLETION OF SIGNAL OFFICER TRAINING AT THE CANADIAN FORCES SCHOOL OF COMMUNICATIONS AND ELECTRONICS HE WAS POSTED TO THE JSR. SUBSEQUENT POSTINGS INCLUDED CFIOG HQ, 21 EW REGT AND THE CA HQ. HE FINISHED HIS CAREER WITH DJCIS.

3. LCOL BOYLE IS GRATEFUL FOR THE FRIENDSHIPS DEVELOPED DURING HIS CAREER AND WOULD LIKE TO OFFER SPECIAL RECOGNITION TO HIS FAMILY FOR THEIR SUPPORT THROUGHOUT HIS CAREER.

4. LCOL BOYLE IS LOOKING FORWARD TO BEGINNING HIS NEW CAREER AS A PUBLIC SERVANT AND WILL BE STAYING IN ADM(IM) AS PART OF DGICFD. GIVEN THE CURRENT SITUATION NO DWD WILL BE HELD AT THIS TIME. WHEN CONDITIONS ALLOW A SMALL INFORMAL GATHERING WITH CLOSE FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES WILL BE ORGANIZED.
