1. ON 3 APRIL 2018, LCOL Y. TURCOTTE WILL RETIRE FROM THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES AFTER CLOSE TO 33 YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE TO CANADA, THE CAF AND THE COMMUNICATION AND ELECTRONICS BRANCH.

2. LCOL Y TURCOTTE JOINED THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES IN JUNE OF 1985 AND GRADUATED FROM THE COLLÈGE MILITAIRE ROYAL IN ST-JEAN IN 1990 WITH A DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE. FOLLOWING HIS TRAINING AS A SIGNALS OFFICER, HE HELD VARIOUS MANAGEMENT POSITIONS IN NDHQ, OTTAWA. IN 1997, HE JOINED 1ST CDN DIVISION HQ&SIGS. FROM 2001 TO 2003 HE COMPLETED A MASTER’S DEGREE IN SOFTWARE ENGINEERING AT RMC AND THEN JOINED DLCSPM UNTIL HIS POSTING IN SHERBROOKE AS 714 COMMUNICATION SQUADRON’S CO IN 2007. PROMOTED TO HIS CURRENT RANK IN 2008, HE JOINED DLCI. IN 2010 HE WAS POSTED BACK TO DLCSPM. SINCE 2015 LCOL TURCOTTE HAS BEEN SECTION HEAD OF CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE DIRECTORATE CYBER FORCE DEVELOPMENT (D CYBER FD) IN DIRECTOR GENERAL CYBERSPACE (DG CYBER).

3. LCOL Y TURCOTTE, (NAMES REMOVED 2023 APRIL 20 BY ADMIN) WILL REMAIN IN NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION AS HE HAS ACCEPTED A JOB IN THE PUBLIC SERVICE OF CANADA.
