1. MAJOR CHRISTIAN BEAULIEU HAS RELEASED FROM THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES ON 22 SEPTEMBER 2019 AFTER 27 PLUS YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE.
2. HE JOINED THE CAF IN 1992 AND GRADUATED IN 1997 FROM THE ROYAL MILITARY COLLEGE OF CANADA. HIS FIRST SIGNALS POST WAS IN 1998 WITH THE 2 CANADIAN MECHANIZED BRIGADE GROUP HEADQUARTERS AND SIGNAL SQUADRON AS THE SQN ADJUTANT, ALPHA TROOP OC AND DELTA TROOP OC. IN 2000 HE WAS APPOINTED AS REGIMENTAL SIGNAL OFFICER WITHIN THE RCD. IN 2002, HE WAS POSTED TO THE COMMAND SUPPORT PILOT PROJECT AS A SQUADRON SECOND IN COMMAND AND TECH SUPPORT OFFICER. IN 2005, HE WAS TRANSFERRED TO DLCSPM TO LEAD THE DEVELOPMENT OF TACC2IS CORE APPLICATIONS. AFTER HIS PROMOTION TO MAJOR IN 2008, HE WAS ASSIGNED AS PROJECT LEADER TO DELIVER TACNET TO THE ARMY. IN JUNE 2010, HE WAS POSTED TO DLCI WITHIN THE CAPABILITY MANAGEMENT TEAM, CONTINUING OPERATIONALIZING TACNET WITHIN THE ARMY. HE WAS THEN POSTED TO DIMEI, LEADING AND SYNCHRONIZING THE ENGINEERING EFFORTS. AFTER THREE YEARS HE WAS APPOINTED DGIMO J3. IN JUN 2017, MAJ BEAULIEU TOOK COMMAND OF 4 CDSG SIGNAL SQUADRON.
3. MAJ BEAULIEU SERVED OVERSEAS ON TWO OCCASIONS: IN BOSNIA 2000 AS SIGNAL STAFF WITHIN THE NATIONAL COMMAND ELEMENT, AND IN AFGHANISTAN IN 2009, WHERE HE TRANSITIONED THE JOINT TASK FORCE TACTICAL COMMAND AND CONTROL INFORMATION SYSTEM AND LEAD THE INTEGRATION OF FULL MOTION VIDEO ONTO TACNET.
4. MAJ BEAULIEU AND HIS FAMILY WILL BE MOVING BACK IN OTTAWA WHERE CHRISTIAN HAS ACCEPTED PUBLIC SERVICE EMPLOYMENT WITHIN ADM(IM).
5. A DEPART WITH DIGNITY FUNCTION WILL BE HELD AT THE OTTAWA ARMY OFFICERS MESS, 149 SOMERSET ST, OTTAWA, ON 18 FEBRUARY 2020, FROM 1300HRS – 1600HRS (1PM TO 4PM). A COST OF $30 IS SOLICITED TO COVER THE CATERING FOOD SERVICES AND THE RETIREMENT GIFT PAYABLE TO MWO LAPLANTE EITHER AT EVENT, OR OTHER ARRANGEMENTS CAN BE MADE AS WELL (IE: E-TRANSFER).
