2. MAJ FRANÇOIS BAK ENROLLED IN THE COMM RES IN 1983 AS A RADIO-TELETYPE OPERATOR. HE FILLED VARIOUS POSITIONS AT 763 (OTTAWA) COMM REGT INCLUDING RAD DET COMD; TRG SGT; AND RAD TP WO; AND COMPLETED SEVERAL CALLOUTS WITH 76 COMM GP, THE ILTIS TESTING PROGRAM, CFCC HQ AND THE 70 COMM GP SCHOOL. IN 1993, HE TRANSFERRED TO THE PRIMARY RESERVE LIST, MOVED TO KINGSTON AND FILLED POSITIONS AT CFSCE INCLUDING RTOP TRG COORD, RES OFFICER TRG NCO AND COMM RES BASIC MILITARY QUALIFICATION (BMQ) COORD. IN 1995, HE DEPLOYED TO YUGOSLAVIA WHERE HE WAS 2I/C OF MILITARY MOBILE DET 5. UPON REDEPLOYMENT, HE RETURNED TO CFSCE AS COMM RES BMQ COORD UNTIL SEP 1997, WHEN HE MOVED BACK TO OTTAWA. MAJ BAK CFR’D IN MAR 98, WAS PROMOTED TO MAJ IN MAR 2005 AND FILLED VARIOUS POSITIONS WITHIN NDHQ INCLUDING IM GP TASKER, COMM RES G3, DLCI RES SIGS COORD, ARMY G1 OPS, CF DRUG CONTROL PROGRAM COORD AND DCSM PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT OFFICER. HE TRANSFERRED TO THE REG FORCE IN SEP 14 AND WAS POSTED TO DGIMO AS SO DCOS SP. SINCE APR 15, HE IS THE DIMEUS RESOURCE MANAGER. MAJ BAK GRADUATED FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF OTTAWA IN 1989 WITH A BA HONOURS IN GEOGRAPHY AND COMPLETED A MASTERS CERTIFICATE IN PUBLIC MANAGEMENT IN 2015 AT THE SPROTT SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AT CARLETON UNIVERSITY.
3. MAJ BAK IS HAPPILY MARRIED TO NANCY PAWELEK OF CALGARY AND THEY HAVE TWO BOYS JOEY, 18 AND LEO, 14. HE PLANS ON A SECOND CAREER WITH THE PUBLIC SERVICE.
